Wiadomości Matematyczne

The Polish Mathematical Society (PTM) publishes the Polish Mathematical Society Annals, a journal which appears now in six series. The series II is edited as an annual of the PTM, and is published in Polish under the name Wiadomości Matematyczne.

The annual of the PTM, Wiadomości Matematyczne, includes articles on mathematics, its development and significance, and writes about people who practice mathematics.

In the years 1897-1939, Samuel Dickstein edited and published 47 volumes of his journal named in Polish: Wiadomości Matematyczne. The tradition of that journal is reflected in the currently published Wiadomości Matematyczne. The intention to continue the tradition is expressed in the first volume of the publication (dated 1955-56) by the then Editorial Committee with Władysław Orlicz as Editor-in-Chief.
