Author Guidelines

The submission and typesetting of Mathematica Applicanda is fully electronic. Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts in PDF format and submit it using the MA online submission system.

  • It is highly recommended that papers exceeding reasonable length (of about 20-30 pages) be split into two or more articles.
  • The text is single-spaced; single-column; uses a 11 or 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The Mathematica Applicanda is typeset using  LaTeX2E. Upon acceptance of the paper the (principal) author will receive the MA LaTeX2E style file (by e-mail) and will be asked to submit the final formatted version with all source files to the Editorial Office using online submission system.
  • The Mathematica Applicanda is published on line and the links and figures are in clolors. However, the Mathematica Applicanda (Matematyka Stosowana) is printed in black and white (grayscale). Therefore all figures (graphs and illustrations) have to be prepared in such a way, that they are readable when converted to grayscale.
  • Authors wishing to format the paper in the MA style before submission may download style files from this page and an example file or apply for the style file to MathAppl@ptm.org.pl. The style bundle contains the styles for the article and the bibliography as well as example of formatted document.
  • The journal crosses disciplinary boundaries. It is highly recommended the authors
provide examples of relevant academic disciplines for this journal.
  • The authors should add the Mathematics Subject Classification (primary and secondary) and the keywords (3, not more than 6).
  • The abstract of submitted paper is in plain text or simple LaTeX format. It may contain very simple formulas, but must not use compund LaTeX formulas cross-references and bibliography citations.
  • At the time of submission the Authors can suggest 1-3 members of the Editorial Board (Editors) who, in their opinion, are most suitable to overview the review process of this submission.
  • No page charge is made if the submitted final version is typeset  in LaTeX with the style provided by the Editors.
